Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram! Anglo Saxons Rule! Why would you parody the words of Chris in the prayer They Kingdom Come” which is a serious statement and prayer about the Kingdom on God by confusing and debasing the ide through the words “thy geekdom come”. You clearly lack any respect…. Micah Murphy Hi ASR! It’s not a parody. On the contrary, it was intended as a respectful homage. Geekiness is popularly defined as extreme interest in a particular subject. I posited at the outset of the blog that geekiness is therefore a good and, thus, is found in God. Further, God exemplifies geekiness: He is so interested in us and in our good that He became man and died for us. God bless, Micah Carol Cover This is clearly not a parody. Parody ridicules or belittles. Parody is satire. This is humorous teaching. I’m pretty much of a curmudgeon when it comes to taking ANYTHING about Catholic teaching or liturgy too lightly, but this doesn’t strike me that way. Really. Micah Murphy Yes, I’ve been called a curmudgeon before, as well. Thanks for your clarification. Thomas L. McDonald The “words of Chris” deserve respect! Wait, what? Chris who? Chris Pratt? Chris Rock? Micah Murphy Props. You, sir, win all the props.
